HO! HO! HO! …ALREADY?
Halloween is barely behind us, and Christmas is already front and center in the minds of retailers. Oh, I know that Christmas has been in the stores for a month already. Some stores even put out Christmas decorations at the end of SEPTEMBER! Yikes! I can’t even begin to think about Halloween until mid-October! Then, I have to figure out our Thanksgiving plans, plus there are a couple of birthdays thrown in the November mix! (Hint, Hint Kids…and don’t forget to remind Dad!) Along about December 1st I turn my thoughts to Christmas. Then on the 15th I start seriously thinking about it, and by the 23rd I am totally focused on it!
Enjoying Special Events
Welcome to July…almost August! Our travel season is just winding down, so I thought I better get back at it before it ramps up again this fall. Being retired we usually travel in the off-peak season and take longer trips. Getting ready to leave on a trip, long or short, can be very stressful. I am always afraid of forgetting something, so I have found a packing list very helpful! Before every trip I open the spread sheet containing my packing list and start collecting the things I will need.
Taking Time for Family
Happy April! I’m not sure what happened to March, but I seem to have missed my deadline! We’ve all been there. One minute you’ve got everything under control, and the next you realize you don’t! While many things can be quite inconvenient to lose track of, thankfully most won’t cause any lasting ill effects. Thank goodness I have a great boss, and she’s only docking my pay a little for being late!
Celebrating Seniors
YAY! You’ve made it! Well, not to the end of your senior year, but you’ve made it to that point where you can see your hand reaching out to accept that hard earned diploma! YAY YOU! Of course, you still have a few months of hard work to attain that goal, but the finish line is in sight! Your next chapter is about to begin!
